Nachi-Fujikoshi was founded in the city of Toyama, Japan, in 1928 by Kohki Imura with the aim of manufacturing specialty steel and cutting tools. In 1939, it expanded its expertise in steel and metalworking to start producing bearings. Nachi-Fujikoshi is not just a manufacturing company but also a technology firm. Thanks to this characteristic, it became Japan's first domestic producer of spherical roller bearings in 1941, securing its place among market leaders.
To provide international services, Nachi-Fujikoshi relocated its headquarters from Toyama to Tokyo in 1956. In this context, Nachi-Fujikoshi began production in various fields, including turning and milling in 1939, hydraulic equipment in 1958, and robots in 1970.
